Mauritius

Mauritius lies close to the equator within the humid tropics, some 800 km east of Madagascar.
The hottest months are from January to April, when temperatures range from 25 C to 35 C.
Do not leave your camera or camcoder at home.
In the tropics you can get sunburnt surprisingly quickly, even through cloud. Use a sunscreen, a hat, and barrier cream for your nose and lips. Calamine lotion, aloe vera cream are good for mild sunburn. Protect your eyes with good-quality sunglasses, particularly if you will be near water or sand.
Water activities are the focus in Mauritius. Windsurfing, water-skiing, kayaking and pedalos are just some of the water activities offered by the main beach hotels. Undersea walks are extremely popular, as are tours in glass-bottomed boats.
