Hotel Academia is situated at the foot of the Lomnicky Peak massif in the eastern part of the High Tatras Mountains, 3 km from the town Tatranska Lomnica and 7 km from the town Smokovce. It is located on the borderline of the Tatra National Park, 800 m above the sea level. Hotel rooms are equipped with bathroom, toilet, radio, phone, satellite TV set and mini-bar. The Congress Center also includes the facilitites of billiard, sauna, solarium, whirling basin, massage, outdoor tennis, volleyball and football courts. It is also possible to rent mountain bikes there. The hotel has an advantageous location in a beautiful natural setting, being also easily accessible (by road, train, bus and airplane). Numerous excursions can be undertaken from the hotel, eg. hiking in the High and Belianske Tatras, visit the historical towns Kezmarok and Levoca, enjoy the thermal swimming pool Vrboc, Cerveny Klastor, or have and excursion to Spis Castle (the largest castle in the Central Europe). The Polish side of the High Tatras, with the center in Zakopane, is also easily accessible.
