Call for Special Session on 5G & Cybersecurity

Introduction
5G systems have started to deliver a novel mobile network architecture that not only providing near real-time communication with improved physical data rate, but also creates a new ecosystem allowing the deployment of novel services and applications. 5G security is a challenging research field. A key target for safe and reliable future networks will be to improve support not only for classical mobile broadband applications and services but also for vertical industry (e.g. Intelligent Transport, Industrial IoTs, eHealth, etc.) and other mobility-based services. This special session aims to bring experts from industry, academia and research to exchange their vision as well as their achieved advances in 5G and cybersecurity.

Special Session Indicative Topics/Areas
Original research articles and reviews are sought in the overall topical area of 5G communication and cybersecurity, including but not limited to:

  • 5G and cybersecurity
  • 5G and privacy
  • 5G positioning
  • 5G and robotics
  • 5G and automotive
  • 5G technologies, applications and services
  • 5G and IoT
  • 5G hardware and test measurements

Call for special session papers

IEEE Publication

Conference proceedings that meet IEEE quality review standards may be eligible for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. IEEE reserved the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore), if the paper is not presented at the conference. 'Pay to publish' is not allowed by IEEE. So at least one author of a paper must show up and present the paper at the conference.
The conference proceedings is now available via IEEE Xplore.
Papers are indexed by Web of Science.

Objectives

The Symposium is organized with the focus of bringing together scientists from any country working on computational intelligence and its applications with the aims at providing an opportunity for sharing and discussing the recent research developments in this field. The idea is to have a small number of lecturers and participants in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Topics

The fields of interests of the conference include disciplines which are merged in the area of 'Soft Computing', 'Intelligent Techniques' or 'Computational Intelligence'. Therefore, its activity is not limited to fuzzy logic and fuzzy set theory, and involves also:

  • Fuzzy technology
  • Neural networks
  • Genetic algorithms
  • Modeling uncertainty
  • Hybrid systems
  • Applications
  • Informatics
