SACI 2020 General Chair message

Dear SACI participants,

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Despite of our efforts organizing the SACI 2020 conference, the COVID-19 pandemic situation all around the world changed the plans and the 14th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics or as we all know it, SACI 2020 is the first time when it is organized only in virtual space and on virtual platform.
From one point of course we are all sad about it as the yearly occasions, the networking, the research collaborations and friendships that created the SACI community cannot be strengthened in the same way as in previous years. However, the crisis showed an impressive power of the participants, as the 46 accepted papers show us that even in such a critical situation the willingness of presenting our researches to each other, the strong collaboration that exits between Politehnica University of Timisoara (UPT) and Óbuda University generates a real research community without borders!
This makes me extremely proud of it from several reasons:

  • as former graduate of UPT and now rector of Óbuda University I can see that the collaboration exits not only at personal, but at community level as well;
  • as General Chair of the SACI conference I can feel that this conference has a solid base which gives real possibilities of further development;
  • despite the pandemic situation, the submitted papers represent not only researchers from Hungary and Romania, but from other four countries (Austria, Canada, Czech Republic and Germany) as well;
  • years ago when prof. Imre Rudas founded SACI, he had probably a similar dream: to create a research family that can overcome even extreme obstacles like today COVID-19.

I congratulate all of us that by participating at the SACI 2020 we expressed our commitment to this conference, and I hope that next year we can meet in person at the 15th SACI edition!

Best regards,

Levente Kovács
SACI 2020 General Chair

Some Changes

This is a traditional and well-known conference around the engineering society, so we keep going organizing this event, but in a different way. Since the pandemic is still spreading out, and the borders are closed, it is impossible to travel, but the conference is not canceled.
We take into consideration that the authors and reviewers made a hard job, so in respect to their work, SACI 2020 is organized in a virtual platform.
Please, do not arrange any travel plans.
Authors are going to be informed in the notification e-mail how to proceed forward with the paper.

Welcome to SACI 2020!

Authors are welcome to submit original and unpublished papers and attend the IEEE 14th International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI 2020) to be held on May 21-23, 2020 in Timisoara, Romania.
SACI conference appears on the Australian Research Council list, in class C.

SACI 2020 Call for Papers

IEEE Publication

'Pay to publish' is not allowed by IEEE. So at least one author of a paper must show up and present the paper at the conference.
The conference proceedings is now available via IEEE Xplore.
Papers are indexed by Web of Science.
